Bienestar Baltimore is a student-run organization with members from the Johns Hopkins Schools of Nursing, Medicine, and Public Health. We are dedicated to serving the needs of the Latino community of East Baltimore by offering a variety of services including health education, promotion, and screening.

Bienestar We work closely with faculty from both the Schools of Medicine and Nursing as well as with community leaders to ensure we are providing quality services to the community.

Our partner organizations in the community include S.O.U.R.C.E., the Esperanza Center, Baltimore Medical Systems, CASA de Maryland, Adelante Familia, the Health Department’s Eastern Chest Clinic, and the Latino Provider Network.

Our organization began as a chapter of Programa Salud, a community service organization based on the Johns Hopkins undergraduate campus. As our chapter grew and we established our own projects in the community, we decided to change our name to Bienestar Baltimore to reduce confusion among our clients and community partners.
